"POPPY"
What a marvellous show career Poppy has had to date. At her first Championship Show , British Utility Breeds Association, she won the MP class and was BPIB. She repeated a win and BPIB a few weeks later at Ladies Kennel Association, the only two Championship shows she could attend in 2007.

In 2008 Poppy’s outings were restricted due coat loss and our holidays, but in addition to wins at Championship shows where no CC’s were on offer Poppy won 1st Special Puppy at CRUFTS. She later in the year was 1st PG, Bitch CC, BOB and Utility Group 3 at Richmond show at the age of only 17 months. Her 2nd CC followed two weeks later at Driffield Show. In between she won her class at Darlington and was reserve best bitch.
Poppy went to the Euro Dog Show in Belgium mid November, leaving much of her coat in Scotland. Nevertheless she won her class, was graded excellent and took the CAC and CACIB. The following day at an International show in Alencon, France Poppy won her class and was graded excellent again. She went forward to be awarded the CAC, CACIB, BOB and she was short listed in the Group. Poppy finished 2008 winning limit bitch and the Reserve CC at LKA.
Our plans for 2009 were to chase the elusive 3rd CC, do some shows in Ireland and compete at the All Winners Show in Amsterdam at the end of November 2009. At CRUFTS  Poppy won Limit bitch and was awarded the bitch CC , her 3rd at just 23 months old.
At the end of May 2009 Poppy attended the European Winners Show in Dublin. That event resulted in Poppy being graded excellent and being awarded the Green Star, CACIB and BOB. These awards made her up into an Irish Champion.
Our thanks to Betty Flavell, Hazel Fitzgibbons and Lorraine Manning who all thought highly enough to award Poppy a Challenge Certificate and to Christine Hughes for the Reserve CC.
We would also like to record our thanks to Mr P.S. Chatterjee (India),
Mme. Bodson (France) , Mr C Stefanescu (Romania) and M. Voilet (France) for their FCI awards of CACIB to Poppy. At this juncture it would be rude not to record thanks to Irish judges also for their awards of "Green Star" to Poppy-thanks to everybody who have made her show career to date, quite so exciting!
On 17/10/09 Poppy competed at Portadown Canine Club Championship Show. She was the only entrant in the Champion class under Irish Judge Michael Drennan. Standing alone she was graded excellent and then against the others graded excellent she awarded the Green Star, Best of Breed and went on under a different judge to be shorlisted in the group (26 BOB winners!). Pansy took the resrve Green star out of the puppy class. On the week end of 22/11/09 we returned to France, to try, in Alencon, for that so important qualifying CACIB. Not of the "type" that they admire, Poppy never the less gained her 4th and qualifying CACIB to gain her title of International Champion, at age 2 years and 6 months.
